Waste Water Management

  • QAAP will provide 60 cusec centralized effluent treatment plant (CETP).
  • Outfall facilities to dispose of treated water (monitored by the Government of Pakistan)
  • The individual units have to pre-treat water resulting in a clean environment in QAAP.

Waste Water Collection & Disposal System

The total wastewater flow is estimated to be 3.11 m3/s (110 Cusecs). Combined sewerage system is proposed for the collection of total wastewater through RCC sewers. Four (04) trunk sewers of varying diameters from 18 inches to 66 inches have been proposed for QAAP. An intermediate pumping station (IPS) have be provided at the end of waste water collection network in order to convey the collected wastewater to Combined Effluent Treatment Plant for requisite treatment prior to final disposal of the treated effluent into the identified water body in the vicinity of the project area. 

Storm Water Collection & Disposal System

An independent storm water drainage system with an estimate of 4.39 m3/s (155 Cusecs) has been proposed as well. Storm water disposal station has been proposed to dispose off the storm water collected through trunk drains.

Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park (QAAP) project is being developed astride Lahore Islamabad Motorway at a distance of 38 KM from Lahore. The project will be first of its kind in Pakistan comprising state of the art facilities of International standards being developed for materializing the benefits of GSP plus status to Pakistan creating 2.5 lacs job opportunities for skilled and unskilled labour.
